About an hour drive from Prague, set back in the hills of a rolling Bohemian landscape is a small town called Hřiměždice. Driving through the town you wouldn't notice much out of the ordinary, unless you drove a short distance up the hill at the end of the main road. Here is located a very small yet scenic park and inside that is a much smaller but vastly deep quarry, which is now filled with water.
When i arrived, my roomate James and I were talking about things we had found to do while we were in the Czech Republic that were outside of Prague and he brought up a place where you could go cliff jumping. Back near my home town there are numerous places that we usually go to in the summer to jump off such as an old train trestle and a rope swing into a lake, so this was a very interesting prospect. Come to find out, about two weeks before we arrived they had the annual cliff jumping festival at this located so we decided that we would go as soon as possible because the weather isn't going to be warm for much longer.
This place really is amazing, with multiple areas to jump from, including a rope swing and with the water being much deeper than I was able to swim down. On top of that it was the first time any of us had been outside the city and it was nice to see the Czech countryside on such a nice day.
Hřiměždice Cliff Jumping!

A few local Czech kids showed up at one point, this is one of them doing a gainer from the highest point. This is where they put the high jump during the contest, which is probably twice the height but they remove it during the other times of the year.
Along with being a great place to swim, the park itself was very beautiful.
